The incredible story of a band that wanted to know. Let's do it the other way around...
END
… we could just see the brake lights of the ribbon bus disappearing into nothingness on the horizon.
Thomi and I watch the whole scene with a big grin on our faces. Diego and Robi are already ready to leave. Now everything is already stowed away in the band book and off we go. Tired from the fascinating, amusing, energetic rock night.
We wise, practiced and experienced guys, speaking of just a few, know that it is time to start dismantling the facility. Our concert at the Goldauerhof 2025 is over. How we sweated, rocked and let some of our own, our hair fly in the wind of the tingling, hot audience (and Thomi's fan). Yes, our second concert with me is history.
There are shouts of encores and loud applause whistles can also be heard.
After the song by Billy Idol, it's over and the audience claps and stomps.
The second set is intoned. 'Sweet Ann' is the first song. In my opinion, the one of our songs that contains the most swing. The first drops of sweat roll off our foreheads, the crowd goes wild and Robi slowly but surely gets a cramp in his corners of his mouth when he continues to grin so cheerfully. Yes, we all have fun and it has to be that way.
With 'Shake Your Booty' we grabbed the audience. Many hoot, sometimes even sing along... That can be cheerful. "Come with me to another place where we can be..." I sing into the microphone. By the way, this song was written by Norbert NoBo Eckert, as you know, my former singer of our legendary band, Hard Wretches. Yes, exactly our first song at Goldi 2025.
First of all, we would like to thank Hoti, Žaklina and Artan, the unforgettable team of the legendary Goldauerhof.
"Hello dear people of the Goldauerhof in Goldau. We are Hard Wretches from Winterthur," I shout into the audience. «Rock Ooon!»
The digestive break is over and when we open the door to the Goldi, the scent of tobacco smoke rises towards us. The traditional walk did us good. The premises of Thomi's second band, The Taps, have been inspected, and I have to say, nice, cozy room with super bolides in the garage. Now we have to lift the pear and breathe the fresh, cold air of Goldau deep into our lungs.
Hoti comes towards me, with a huge smile on his lips, and assures me that he will take care of everything. If we need something, just let me know, he will organize it.
The food is brought on several plates. Fish, meat, burgers and pizza. The smell of food fills the room. What a pleasant stimulus in our nostrils.
And another Jägermeister shot, that gets us in the mood.
Now it's time to set up the music system. Yes, if everyone pitches in, then it's faster and it's not the first time we've done this.
The system is easier to tow in from the back entrance. Almost on time we arrive at the Goldi, we park the band bus behind the house. What an old, beautiful building, this Goldauerhof. We ride downhill and from a distance we can see the Goldi.
FOREWORD
These lines describe only a small part of the actual history of the band, Hard Wretches from Winterthur. As they say, less is more.
