Hard Wretches @ Churwalden

As soon as we arrived at the festival site in the middle of Churwalden, the local organiser checked us for under-hopping and cured it immediately. Later: set up, sound check, beef spit and sausage check. The under-hopping had been successfully reduced to minimum levels in appropriate doses - in glasses. Then the concert started. Starting brilliantly with our "Rock You" and rocking just as brilliantly until the break, we managed to lure bikers and other motorised spectators in front of the stage.

Intermission. Organisers and helpers continue to look after our well-being and take care of us four flatlanders with joy and a lot of humour. The second set succeeds like the first, this time with more rockers and dancers. This encouraged us to extend the encore to three.

After much applause and a few compliments, we munched on another sausage (Diego two 😉), sweaty but happy and satisfied, cleared up and said goodbye. The farewell was heartfelt. We won't be there next year, but maybe the next Töff-Fest, we'll be there again with lots of fun and commitment. As long as no one succumbs to underhopping by then.

However, a drop of bitterness crept into the under-hopped medicine - beer. This concert was the last with our singer NoBo. He has decided to leave Hard Wretches after more than 10 years.

We? Well, we're moving on. Singers, get in touch with us, we are still available 😊.
